ODEM-EDROY/PAWNEE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICTS, Odem, Texas Odem-Edroy ISD is a K-12 school district with over 1,200 students. Technology Director • 1998-Present Manage all technology and network infrastructure for 600 computers and 1,800 users, with $200,000 operating budget and technical team of 4. Implement and integrate hardware, software, and IT security. Direct end-user training and support for campus staff and students. Administer district technology committee and strategic plan. Oversee network management, server backup/maintenance, system repairs and upgrades, software licenses, and warranty issues. Manage RFPs for IT products and services, and negotiate equipment/supply pricing and standards with vendors. Automate manual processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Demonstrate technology advantages to improve utilization. • Implemented initial network infrastructure for district and infrastructure for 4 new constructions. • Lowered mail server load 85% and spam to users 75% with open-source filter for e-mail services. • Obtained technology and education grants worth over $1 million during tenure. • Launched initiative within 3 months to provide laptops for all 220 junior high students. • Transitioned technology systems and network from old school to new school for Pawnee ISD. • Served as Acting Technology Director for San Patricio County Technology Consortium. • Presented at Texas Computer Educator Association convention. Previously served as Agricultural Science Teacher for Odem-Edroy ISD and San Perlita ISD.
